Lin-Manuel Miranda Family Fellow 2024
Company Management at The Public Theater.
The Miranda Family Fellowship is a distinct award created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Miranda Family. The program has supported over 100 social justice-oriented, emerging artists and arts administrators from underrepresented communities to access education and long-term support that advance their careers within theatre and tv/film. Over the course of two years, the Fellowship provides 1-to-1 support and networking opportunities for Fellows before they become a part of the alumni community.
Young IDEA
Josè was a member of the Young Idea Cohort for 2022 as part of the IDEA Congress, an international arts education conference in Iceland. The young IDEA Lab 2022 aims to bring together a cross-cultural group of young theater educators, theater makers, other artists and students in those fields of art education. The group explored the topic “ Theater for all: Reclaiming our physical body: How can we make theater for all possible in times of a crisis?”
KCACTF
José was part of the 2017 cohort of the The KCACTF/LORT ASPIRE Leadership Fellows Program. The program is designed to cultivate a new generation of artistic and administrative leaders for the American Theater with a focus of engaging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and members of other groups that are historically underrepresented in the field.
